Our Story

Hi! Welcome to Unlucky Goods! I’m Molly, the owner of the company and the artist behind all of our super fun designs. I am a stay-at-home-mom to two sweet kiddos who are the driving force for everything I do in life. This company has been something I have been dreaming about since I was 18 and fresh out of high school.  I always wanted to turn my art into something that I could wear and share with other people, but I never was quite confident enough to really leap into the process of starting my own business. Having my kids changed a lot of things in my life. One big thing that they really opened my eyes to was what I am really capable of and what I am worth. Thanks to them, I finally decided to jump feet first into chasing my dream of turning my art into wearable creations to share with all of you.

Growing up, music had a huge impact on my life and I very quickly developed a love for rock, metal, and anything heavy with loud guitar. My taste in music had quite the influence on my personal style and I grew to love alternative, grunge, goth, and emo fashion (insert angsty photo with hot pink hair here.) Fast forward to today, 24 years old and still rocking my neon hair and oversized band tees! Being a mom on top of never growing out of my alt-kid phase, I wanted to have some more hardcore clothing options to express my pride in being a mom. None of the popular “mama” tee shirt designs really fit my style. I looked into having some clothes made just for myself and my husband and kids. Then it hit me that, hey! This could be the exact thing to get my business off the ground after six whole years of daydreaming.

And so Unlucky Goods was finally born! It thrills me to make family friendly designs for all of the parents like me who refuse to quit rocking (it’s not a phase, mom!) All of the designs you see on our products were made by me, with your inner rockstar in mind. Unlucky Goods is a small mom-owned and run company, and every purchase means so much. Thank you all so much for your love and support. I couldn’t do it without you!
